COOKS

1. Knowledge: Reads & understands recipes with knowledge of common food ingredients, weights, measures, & preparation methods.

2. Skills & responsibilities: Use common kitchen utensils & equipment such as knives, mixers, food processors & gas range. Can prepare quality meals from scratch with a minimum of supervision. Helps put leftovers away & clean-up work area after meal periods.

3. Personal skills: Follows directions, works well with other, good communication, good personal hygiene, works quickly, efficiently, safely, & works well under pressure.

4. Safety & sanitation: Helps keep work area clean, safe, sanitary, & avoids wasting food.

5. Work habits: Knows work schedule, reports to work on time, follows through on work assignments, asks questions when in doubt, no horseplay, checks out with head cook before leaving. Shows capable of performing the job well/safely.

6. Assists with other camp functions as needed. (i.e. camper greeting & orientation).

7. Attends all staff meetings at camp.

Staff scholarship as follows: 5, 6-hour shifts - 75 % off of tuition.
 5, 8-hour shifts - 100% off of tuition.
 Breakfast Cook - 100% off of tuition.
 Head Cook - 100% off of tuition + $250.

DISHWASHER

1. Knowledge: Knowledge of common items found in a kitchen such as sinks, dishware, utensils, pots, & pans.

2. Skills & responsibilities: Scrape, rinse, & rack dishes & silverware. Operate a commercial dishwasher. Sort & put away dishes in their proper place in order to maintain kitchen organization. Scrape, wash, sanitize, & put away pots & pans. Wash kitchen towels & hang out to dry. Sweep & mop floors after meal period. Take out trash & recyclables & bring in empty lined cans. Clean work area before leaving.

3. Personal skills: Follows directions, works well with other, good communication, good personal hygiene, works quickly, efficiently, safely, & works well under pressure.

4. Safety & sanitation: Helps keep work area clean, safe, sanitary, & assures that all dishes, silverware, pots & pans are clean & sanitary.

6. Participation in set up day is optional & counts as a shift worked. Everyone is required to participate in clean up day. Assists with other camp functions as needed. (i.e. camper greeting & orientation).

7. Attends all staff meetings at camp.

Staff scholarship as follows: 9 2-hour shifts -50 % off of tuition. 15 2-hour shifts -75% off of tuition.

HEAD DISHWASHER

All of the above & supervises the dishwashers to make sure that they show up for assigned shifts & all work gets completed.

CHILDCARE

CHILD/YOUTH ACTIVITIES LEADER

1. Agrees to follow & signs the UUA Code of Ethics for working with youth.

2. Plans activities appropriate for the age group & obtains all supplies prior to coming to camp.

3. Stays within allotted budget & turns in receipts for reimbursement before the end of the week.

4. Coordinates 2 hour session(s) for assigned age group.   This includes supervising and interacting with children/youth, setting-up the day's activities and cleaning-up afterwards (this will require arrival at your group's meeting site at least 15 minutes early and remaining there 15 minutes after the session is over).  

5. Assists with other camp functions as needed. (i.e. camper greeting & orientation, kitchen assistance).

6. Attends all staff meetings at camp.

Staff room and board coverage as follows:
8 - 2.5 hour sessions -- 100% of room and board fees covered.
4 - 2.5 hour sessions -- 50% of room and board fees covered.

CHILD/YOUTH ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT

1. Agrees to follow & signs the UUA Code of Ethics for working with youth.

2. Assists Child/Youth Activities Leader with the supervision of and interaction with assigned age group during each 2 hour session.  This includes setting-up the day's activities and cleaning-up afterwards (this will require arrival at group's meeting site at least 15 minutes before the start of each session and remaining there 15 minutes after the session is over).  

3. Assists with other camp functions as needed. (i.e. camper greeting & orientation).

4. Attends all staff meetings at camp.

Staff room and board coverage as follows:
       8 - 2.5 hour sessions -- 75% of room and board fees covered.
       4 - 2.5 hour sessions -- 37.5% of room and board fees covered.

WORKSHOP LEADERS

1. Plan workshop activity & obtain all supplies prior to coming to camp.

2. Stays within allotted budget & turns in receipts for reimbursement before the end of the week.

3. Coordinates 2 hour workshop plus set-up & clean-up of area. Is responsible for maintaining order of own supplies.

4. Assists with other camp functions as needed. (i.e. camper greeting & orientation).

5. Attends all staff meetings at camp.

Staff scholarship as follows: 12.5% off of tuition for each workshop session

EVENING ACTIVITIES

1. Plans evening activity & obtain all supplies prior to coming to camp.

2. Stays within allotted budget & turns in receipts for reimbursement before the end of the week.

3. Coordinates evening programs on 5 evenings (Monday - Friday) including set-up & clean-up of area. Is responsible for maintaining order of won supplies.

4. Assists with other camp functions as needed. (i.e. camper greeting & orientation).

5. Attends all staff meetings at camp.

Staff scholarship as follows: 50% off of tuition (or 10% for each session)

CHAPLAIN

1. Present at & makes brief statement during Opening & Closing Circles.

2. Performs (short) worship services in morning & evening for a total of 7 services.

3. Is available to campers in need of spiritual counseling.

4. Assists with other camp functions as needed. (i.e. camper greeting & orientation).

5. Attends all staff meetings at camp.

Staff scholarship as follows: 70% off of tuition.

TRASH CONSULTANT

1. Empty trash from cabin bathroom areas & shower house daily.

2. Stocks all toilet areas with toilet paper & sweeps floor in cabin bathroom areas & shower house daily.

3. Performs check of all toilets areas & cleans up obvious eyesores daily.

4. Cleans toilets in shower house, Meadow & Far Meadow cabin areas on Tuesday.

5. Cleans toilets in shower house, Creekside & Tall Trees cabin areas on Thursday.

6. Assists with other camp functions as needed. (i.e. camper greeting & orientation).

7. Attends all staff meetings at camp.

Staff scholarship as follows: 50% off of tuition.

SONG LEADER

1. Present & leads song at Opening & Closing Circles.

2. Holds daily sing-alongs for adults & children (formal or informal).

3. Assists with other camp functions as needed. (i.e. camper greeting & orientation).

4. Attends all staff meetings at camp.

Staff scholarship as follows: 25% off of tuition.

TEEN ADVISOR

1. Agrees to follow & signs the UUA Code of Ethics for working with youth.

2. Is comfortable with staying up late & walking along Woodlands paths at night.

3. Accepts Camp practices regarding sweat lodge, nudity, etc. while following Camp rules.

4. Assists with other camp functions as needed. (i.e. camper greeting & orientation).

5. Attends all staff meetings at camp.

Staff scholarship as follows: 100% off of tuition.

AFTERNOON SPORTS/ACTIVITIES

1. Agrees to follow & signs the UUA Code of Ethics for working with youth.
