From San Francisco, take Highway 101 North through Cloverdale. Take Highway 128 West and proceed 55 miles to the coast. Take Highway 1 north to Mendocino. Keep a sharp eye for the first stoplight, then turn right (East) onto Little Lake Road, also known as County Road 408. Go five and a half miles to the end of the pavement, where you'll see a sign on the left indicating the way to the main gate to the Mendocino Woodlands. Take the dirt road to your right. Go three and a half miles to the Caretaker's House. Pass Camp 1 on your right and continue past Camp 3 to Camp 2. We are in Camp 2 at the end of the road.
